The client

One of India’s largest asset management companies — managing investments for millions of retail and institutional investors across the country — had recognised the transformative potential of WhatsApp as a channel for investor engagement, transaction processing, and customer service. But a fragmented, multi-vendor technology stack was preventing the business from delivering the seamless, real-time investment journeys that modern Indian investors expected, and the absence of vernacular language support was excluding a large and growing segment of India’s investor population from fully accessing the platform’s capabilities.

The problem

Nippon India’s WhatsApp investment platform was constrained by the technical complexity and fragmentation of its underlying vendor stack — making iteration slow, visibility limited, and the delivery of new investment journeys a time-consuming, multi-party coordination challenge. For a business competing in India’s dynamic asset management market, the inability to rapidly deploy and optimise digital investor journeys was a significant competitive disadvantage.

  • Fragmented Multi-Vendor Stack Causing Integration Inefficiencies — A WhatsApp engagement infrastructure built across multiple vendors was creating integration complexity, slowing the rollout of new features, and making it difficult to maintain consistent quality across investor journeys. The technical debt accumulated through vendor proliferation was directly constraining the platform’s commercial agility.
  • No Centralised Dashboard for Journey Visibility and Drop-Off Analytics — Without a unified dashboard for monitoring investor engagement, identifying journey drop-off points, and analysing sentiment across interactions, the business lacked the operational intelligence needed to optimise the WhatsApp channel effectively across India.
  • Limited Vernacular Accessibility Excluding Regional Indian Investors — The absence of real-time voice support and native vernacular language capabilities was limiting the platform’s accessibility for Hindi and regional-language-speaking investors — a substantial and high-growth segment of India’s retail investor base that WhatsApp was uniquely positioned to serve.

OUR SOLUTION

Worxwide built a custom, unified WhatsApp platform that replaced the fragmented vendor stack — integrating AI-led voice and text investment journeys using NLP and large language models. Real-time fund and NAV transaction flows were enabled via K-Fintech API integration, with multilingual message templates and rich media messaging supporting the full diversity of Nippon India’s investor base. An intelligent analytics dashboard was implemented to monitor engagement, drop-offs, sentiment, and query resolution across all investor interactions.

  • Custom Unified WhatsApp Platform Replacing Multi-Vendor Stack — A single, purpose-built WhatsApp platform replaced the multi-vendor infrastructure that had been creating integration complexity and slowing feature rollout. The unified architecture gave Nippon India full control over the investor journey experience and eliminated the coordination overhead that had previously delayed platform improvements.
  • Real-Time Fund and NAV Transaction Flows via K-Fintech Integration — Deep API integration with K-Fintech’s systems enabled real-time fund transaction processing, NAV queries, and investment account management directly within WhatsApp — giving Indian investors a fully functional investment management experience within the messaging platform they used most frequently.
  • NLP and LLM-Powered Multilingual Voice and Text Journeys for India — AI-powered conversational flows — combining NLP intent recognition and LLM-based response generation — delivered natural, contextually appropriate interactions in both Hindi and English across voice and text channels, dramatically expanding the platform’s accessibility for vernacular language investors across India.
