The client

A global steel manufacturer, with a steel production capacity of approximately 27.5 million tonnes per annum (MnTPA) as of March 31, 2017. The company is a diversified steel producer with major operations in India, Europe, and Southeast Asia. It has manufacturing units in 26 countries and a commercial presence in over 50 countries. They offer hot and cold rolled coils and sheets, galvanized sheets, tubes, wire rods, construction rebars, and bearings. A digital solution platform serves as the selling arm of the steel manufacturer, providing a marketplace for ECAs and distributors to buy and sell steel.

The problem

Addressing the challenge of effective onboarding and wellness initiatives for our client’s employees is paramount. Despite efforts, current practices may lack cohesion, leading to suboptimal integration and support for new hires. Additionally, wellness programs may not sufficiently meet the diverse needs of employees, potentially impacting morale and productivity. To ensure employee satisfaction, retention, and overall organizational success, there is a critical need to enhance onboarding processes and wellness offerings with a comprehensive and tailored approach.

The solution

For our client, we proposed an Engagement Onboarding and Wellness Portal designed to personalize the employee experience according to the organization’s specific requirements and roles. The portal integrates interactive features for enhanced employee engagement and includes comprehensive wellness resources covering physical and mental health aspects. It offers customization options allowing employees to set personal goals and track progress, along with regular feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement based on user input. Additionally, the portal seamlessly integrates with existing HR systems for efficient data management and tracking.
