Usability Testing focuses on evaluating users’ problems with the product and analysing white-space opportunities to further expand the product.

Our UX architects and designers conduct several usability tests including Heuristics Analysis, user interviews, behavioural tests, tree testing, click testing, and A/B Testing. Usability and Intuitiveness are the prime focus for us to identify and improve through these several tests.

In a typical usability test, our UX designer asks sample users to perform tasks, usually using one or more specific user interfaces. While the user completes each task, the UX designer observes the user’s behavior and listens for feedback.

Usability Testing is important because testing websites/apps with actual users at different design and development stages can help teams and managers immensely. Unbiased user feedback can help companies deliver the right features to the end users.

Usability Testing:

Removes Ambiguity; Helps in Reaching Business Goals; Enables Product Upgradation

  • Removes Ambiguity: It eliminates all the assumptions & guesswork around your product.
  • Helps in Reaching Business Goals: It helps in bridging the gap between the user’s expectations and the ultimate goals of the business.
  • Enables Product Upgradation: It helps in improving an existing product drastically.

How is Usability Testing conducted?

Under Usability Testing, we often evaluate how easy and valuable it is to use a website/app. Usability experts conduct the test with real users. The goal is to gather feedback from real-life end-users and then use those findings to make improvements in the product(s). There are generally six steps involved in Usability Testing-

Steps involved in Usability testing:

  1. Plan: A test plan and script are drafted to understand what we are going to test and how we will measure the results.
  2. Recruit: Users having optimal criteria are recruited to get the right insights.
  3. Perform: Users are shown a design and given tasks and goals to perform.
  4. Document: Users’ verbal answers and physical cues are observed, recorded, and documented.
  5. Synthesize: Problems and issues are identified, distilled and prioritized
  6. Recommend: Recommendations are provided to ensure a continued user experience.
